This tour will take you to discover the treasure of the East. You will see different species of reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds and endemic of Madagascar tropical rainforest in their natural habitat. Meet the largest species of diurnal lemur called Indri indri and the largest beautiful nocturnal one called Aye Aye and dozen another species.

Itineraries

DAY 1

Antananarivo – Andasibe

Meet at and pick you up at your hotel in Antananarivo, then drive to Andasibe National Park along the RN2 for about 4 hours drive. Stop at Peyrieras Reserve, an exotic farm where to see several genus and species among the class of reptiles, mammals and batrachians. Continuation until destination. Upon arrival, hotel check-in then afternoon free before an evening walk to spot some nocturnal lemurs, reptiles and genus of chameleons with a local guide. Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight

DAY 2

Andasibe NP

Morning walk at Perinet Reserve to find more species of diurnal lemurs. Get ready to see the famous Indri Indri, the largest species of existing lemurs in the world. One can meet many different species of wildlife during the walk. After the visit, back to the hotel for lunch, then afternoon visit at the Lemur’s Island and the reptile farm at Vakona private reserve. Drive back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY 3

Andasibe NP – Akanin’ny Nofy

After breakfast, few hours drive to catch the boat at Manambato to go to Ankanin’ny Nofy for about one and half hour. We will cross two big lake to get to the place. Upon arrival, hotel check-in and lunch. Free afternoon to enjoy the hotel area inside the forest and the view in front of the lake Ampitabe. It is possible to take a bath. Late afternoon, nocturnal visit to spot the largest nocturnal lemurs Daumbentonia Madagascariensis, called Aye Aye at its island. We have to take the boat transfer from the hotel to reach this land. Then, go back to the hotel after the visit. Dinner and overnight

DAY 4

Akanin’ny Nofy

Day visit to explore the Palmarium Reserve after having breakfast to see several species of lemurs including the « hybrid » one, birds, reptiles and genus of chameleons and the carnivorous plant. Back to the hotel after visit, lunch and relax with a view of the lake during the afternoon before another evening walk into the Palmarium Reserve to spot the smallest lemur (microcebus) called mouse lemur and other species like the fat tailed dwarf lemur and the sportive lemur. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5

Akanin’ny Nofy – Antananarivo

After breakfast, take the boat transfer to go back to Manambato where the car waits for us. Drive back to Antananarivo along the RN2 for about 6 hours drive with stop en route for lunch. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in. Dinner and overnight. END OF THE PROGRAM
